Now, I just got back from spending the week down at the beach (Jersey
Shore) so maybe my senses are a bit messed...  but it seems to me that
the cars have a much higher threshold for braking with the 1.1 patch??
BTW... I do not have a FF wheel.

Im finding that I can go much deeper into the corners and hit the brakes
pretty hard without them locking up.  Ive been running a 2.50 ride
height for some time since I knew that 1.1 would require that minimum
height.

So I was just curious if any of you have noticed that you can seem to
drive the cars into the corner a bit deeper without locking up the
brakes?

Out of curiosity Scott, how do you brake? Do you (a) brake hard then back
off as you get closer to the corner, (b)start off easy then brake harder as
you approach the corner or (c) none of the above:)

I get shorter braking distances using b(before 1.1 anyway).

Well now I drive the car into the corner hard and nail the brakes because they
dont lock up.  ROFL   I usually try and get as much of my braking done as I can
while traveling in a straight line but there are certain corners at tracks
where I will use trailbraking.

Prior to the patch I would gradually apply brake until I reached my desired
turning speed, etc or would trail brake as necessary.  I could never apply a
ton of brake because of the lockups and that is obviously not the fast way
around a circuit.

Now,  I can drive pretty darn deep into the corner without locking them up.  Im
not sure I like it.   Feels a bit more like Im driving a NASCAR into the
corner.

BTW - I drive the Eagle exclusively and am still learning <VBG>

I would notice the difference between the brake not fully engaging and the
difference in lock ups.

I almost always recaliberate before I race anyways.
