F1-2001 Momo controller tweak?

by YaRigh » Sun, 17 Mar 2002 05:51:41

Andre, I also thought that it was not possible to play F12001 with split
axis due to deadzone problem in the pedals. After reading a post in Simbim I
discovered a way to get rid of the deadzone with split axis.

Go to this link
http://www.racesimcentral.net/;act=ST...
262 and read the posts by Error, FatnSlo & Alfa. Using the DxTweak it is
possible.

Hope this helps!

Ok, that link did not work...... um go to Simbin forums, Formula 1, F12001,
and find a post called 'split axis or seperate axis.

Your other link worked fine with a bit of cut and pasting :)
It sounds like it should work, but that means I have to change the
dx-values each time I switch between f1 2001 and another sim.
But.. I'll give it a shot, thanks :)

Doh! Looks like some of the link got cut off in my post. Anway, for GPL it
did not seem to matter that I had these Dxtweak settings as it felt the
same. I don't know about any other sims though.

I fixed it with DXtweak.  For games that have ingame calibration, like
GPL, it's not affected.  I play GPL every now and then and DXtweak
didn't***it up.

F1-2001 Momo controller tweak?

Somehow Papy sims, even using the DirectInput driver, seem to read raw
calibration information instead of the DX calibration values.
However,
the F1 2001 pedal-fix will cause problems in Rally Trophy.  When I
first bought RT I couldn't believe how bad the pedals felt, sort of
like on-off switches, but then I realized I had changed the calib
values via dxtweak.  Setting them back to normal values fixed the RT
pedal problem.

Thanks a LOT! Took me a while to get it right, but it works like a
charm now. Makes the overall driving experience much better!
Time to install that GT 2.1 mod now..
