Hi . . .

Just wondering if G. Crammond is working on another game besides
GP2-update/GP3.

I'm also wondering what other games (besides the GP-line) he has done in
the past.

Thanks.

A very good (for it's time) F3 simulator called Revs, which was
a pretty big hit on the old 8-bit machines (BBC Micro and C64).
More recently, Stunt Car Racer: A futuristic game where you raced
along a roller coaster style circuit with jumps and ramps etc.
This was released on most formats (Amiga, ST, PC ... maybe even
C64 and ZX-Spectrum?).

His first racing sim was "Revs" for the BBC Micro and, later, Commodore
C64. It simulated Formula Three open wheel racing and despite some really
lame driver names ("Gloria Slap", "Wilma Cargo", etc) was an amazingly
complete simulation given that it ran in just 32K of memory on the BBC.
Interestingly it had a _much_ better keyboard control mechanism than
either F1GP/WC or GP2.

Stunt Car Racer for the Amiga and Atari was his next racing game. Not a
real "sim" this time, but great fun racing on elevated tracks with lots
of jumps. Just the right amount of realism in the car handling to keep it
interesting. BTW - there is a PC port for this game that you might be
able to find in the bargain bins, but it's not really worth bothering
with as the port was done by someone else and it sucks.

There was a rumour that he might do an updated Stunt Car Racer 2.

Cheers,
Richard

I saw reports that he is working on Stunt Car Racer II at the moment.

(Some of)his past achievements:

- Aviator (???)
- Revs (C64, BBC...)
- The Sentinel; a STRATEGY game!
- Stunt Car Racer

That's all I know,

Not to mention Hugh Jengine, Rick Shaw, Max Throttle, and Johnny Turbo.

God Bless,
Steve
