I really do not think the beta and final versions would be much difference.
The beta one is still lacking a yellow flag.  But the original CART has a
green flag with a red strip across it; I guess that is the CART version of a
yellow flag.

The patch only gives you two options in choosing the quality of graphics.
One is good (fastest) and the other is best (slowest).  However, the
framerate is the same on my Monster 3D (20 fps).  Now, you can increase or
decrease the color brightness.  Yes, the default value is so bright that my
eyes hurt.

When you play on the Pro level, AI is smarter.  Racing side-by-side, AI
allows you to pass if you are faster.  Yet, AI is still braking too much
during turns which are not needed to braking.

Pit stop is fixed.  You can drive into the pit.  I was not sure where to
stop in the pit though.

Replay, now, has sound.

Well, I set graphics to best with everything on except the steering wheel.
Racing with 12 cars, I did not experience pauses at the beginning of the
race.  No losing controls.  No messy startup.  However, I did experience
pauses when, for the first time, that I went to practice.  I guess CART has
to "read" the road first?

I guess the greatest improvement is the increase of framerate when the
graphic is set to best.   Steering becomes more sensitive than before.  What
else did I miss?

The flag with the green stripe is actually a blue flag with a red stripe,
and it means get out of the way, a faster car is approaching and looking to
overtake you.

Thanks :-)  There are no "yellow flag" after all.

You posted 68 lines of totally irrelevant quoted text just to add 3
lines which don't refer to the quoted text at all?!

Can't you just reply unquoted or delete it? At least you put your
stuff at the top I suppose, most people add their pearls of wisdom at
the bottom where no-one ever bothers to look for it and read it.

Cheers!

I haven't seen a full course yellow, but as someone else pointed out
in a different thread, you can get local yellows if you spin and
another car is approaching the corner.

...except that the AI cars completely ignore the local yellows...
