I asked in *** Megastore on Saturday 18th and they have a release date
of 16/06/96 a Saturday if I am not mistaken they seem to release stuff on
Sat for some odd reason !!!

I just hope my P100 PC and S3 2mb GFX Card can take GP2 in SVGA mode with
a good frame rate ????

I now doubt very much whether GP2 will *ever* make it to retail.  It is
already *worst* managed software release I've ever heard of, apart from
the possible exception of Win95 :)

In any case, by XMas'96 (tm) , we'll be running P6-300's complete with
PlayStation emulators.

Love and Kisses,
R.

  Hello,
According to a couple of different software vendors the date should be
on June 15, 1996 which is a Friday. Hey it is just in time for the
Canadian Grand Prix. Timing or what?

You're entitled to your opinion. Even if it's wrong. :-)

Nonsense. Crammond holds the slavering SH-MPS pack at bay to ensure
that GP2 is worth buying in its first release and all everyone can do
is complain about it. These are the same people who blaster them for
releasing VKarts and GPManager quickly in completely botched form.
You can't have it both ways.

People, get lives! Surely your existences don't revolve around waiting
for GP2?

The only "mismangement" on SH-MPS's part is their inability to be
honest about not having a release date.

At least people will want to buy GP2. *grin*

For what it's worth ( and that ain't much ! )  I saw a date of 30-Jun-96
posted on a Software Vendor's Home Page  ( Computer Express )

I'd have to agree that the continuously delays are a bit stupid, but, I'd
rather wait for the finished/polished product to come out.

( I'm also delaying my next PC purchase just to make sure I have a
machine that will work well with GP2....... )

Oh, oops! I forgot about the other side of the world!!!! But if
Microprose do a GPManager on us, then we might see F1GP2 out here in
the UK before many other places, so "summertime" could be somewhat
appropriate here after all! If we're lucky that is. We'll see.

Sorry about forgetting my place in the world!

True summer begins June 21/22 and ends September 21/22.

Assuming "summer" does NOT mean the hot weather season of southern CA,
that would peg a release at the EARLIEST as early AUGUST and as late
as mid-September.

 So much for June.

Ahhh, the thrill of the chase, as it were. How often has that been the
best bit. Not that I'm saying the anticipation for GP2 is going to be
better than the end result of course.
