release date for Canada and the store personel are going with that date
as well (for what its worth). There dates I have found are usually
fairly accurate.

I, too, just called MPS, and they said the game will be released
in two hundred years give or take one month.
I've started studying cryogenics for obvious reasons.

Hi,
Maybe you know the game was on the shelves when they found a huge bug.
Mid June is now the time, they (MP) say in a press release to all
suppliers.

Hi there,
We are not announcing a release date at teh present time since we
don't have one. I suppose you called MicroProse Europe? In any case, I
am waiting for some news about GP2 to be posted here soon.

For SH/MPS...

Considering all the talk that's going around about this sim, I would like
to ask a few questions that perhaps havent't yet been answered, or even
asked...

 1. What is the MAIN reason for the delay, besides the fact that the
programmers wish to obtain perfection? Is there a MAJOR bug? Did you not
burn enough copies for the intense demand your noticing? Is it political
or is it programmer related? Are you redoing ALL the car models to reflect
the new and safer F1***pits and overall car design?

 2. Can someone please update the Home Page for this thing. How ironic is
it that you have an HTML that's called "The very latest from Geoff
Crammond" and it hasn't been updated in about 4 months. Did he pass away?
If that is the case, then this must be the lastest... If you're gonna
update any HTML, let it be this one. We've seen all the screen shots and
read all the reviews, but would just like to know what's going on behind
Geoff's desk. Does he have a few minutes a week to write one paragraph to
let us poor saps know if he's still working on this thing? I'm starting to
know how my mom must feel, I should probably write her, it's been a few
weeks...

3. How come I keep hearing the game will ship with what will be a
representation of the 1994 season on the grid? If the cars look like the
'95s, lacking 3D model redesign, at least throw the '96 drivers in there.
I wouldn't expect a motorcycle sim to ship with Freddie Spencer and Eddie
Lawson riding the bikes. (...slight exagerration)

 4. (Not a question, a request...) Please don't waste any time on a demo.
I hope that's not causing ANY delay. I'm gonna buy the real thing based on
what I've read. I know it's gonna be great, we all know it's gonna be
great, so if someone still doesn't believe it's gonna be great, I'll
invite them over and let them play before they pay, cause demos just are
just a waste of download time. Peope get a little dissappointed after
downloading 8meg worth of demo and only get to drive two laps. After the
release, throw a demo on one of those CDs game magazines are now giving
away free for all the people who still don't believe...

 Thanks,

I got some news for all about  GP II. This was just handed to us to
post on-line:

Regarding your Grand Prix II inquiry:

Grand Prix II will provide the ultimate in realism, with every aspect
of the Formula One circuit re-created with incredible accuracy and
detail. In addition to the actual courses that make up the Grand Prix
circuit, the game will include full pitching and rolling, spectacular
crashes, engine blowups, enhanced camera views, a replay feature, five
levels of opponent ability, and richly detailed 3-D effects.

We have made some significant enhancements over the last several
months, most notably, the addition of spectacular crashes in the game.
We anticipate shipping Grand Prix II mid to late Summer.

Best,
Joker[SH/MPS Support]

Anybody like to speculate on what this means exactly?  Bang goes the June
date if you ask me.  Ah well....

Oh please, that one is getting really tired nowadays.

Looks like end of summertime doesn't it?! A time frame always says the
END of said time frame to me.
