DTR Demo up!

by Kenneth Verbur » Fri, 05 Nov 1999 04:00:00

WizardWorks has posted the demo on their DTR site moments ago. We're
downloading the demo right now, but at 3 kb/s it doesn't go fast.

It is to be hoped that the guys from 3DFiles.com or Avault get the demo up
a.s.a.p. so everybody can enjoy it.
This is the world's first authentic dirt track racing game,
qualification to championship. From the fender--bending, dog-eat-dog world
of stock, to the supped-up production stock racing machines and
fast-as-lightening, loud-as-thunder late model series, this is racing on the
edge. Aggressive driving, accumulated prize money and smart vehicle and
upgrade purchases propel you to the next class. Get your car in gear, or get
off the track.
We'll post links to sites that have the demo mirrored as soon as they
appear. Until then, try it at WizardWorks with a backup utility like
Getright.

Enjoy!

just tried it..  0.9kb/sec.  This is with my cable modem.  the file
looks to be about 9 meg(?), so at this speed I think I'll wait for the
aftermath of "this things stinks" "this thing is the best" posts before
I download it.

I have asked a couple of fellow webmasters if they could get the demo
locally as soon as possible. I hope the demo will be widely available within
an hour, but I'm not sure. I have 1.12kb here, so it's not going fast for me
either.

category :)

DTR the first time It was during a heavy download period from their
site.  Normal downloads I've got with other places were in the
398.xKB/sec with my Road Runner cable.

Just to give you a figure to work with,
Mike
