I really hate having the reverse hooked up to the brake pedal!
Can't seem to find a way to change that! Hope the final can separate
them!

   Look in Options | Game | Auto Reverse.

I'm not sure about the demo, but in the gold version there is a checkbox for
auto-reverse- uncheck that and it will uncouple reverse and the brake.
