Hi i'm thinking of buying a used orchid righteous 3dfx voodoo the
original, for 37 dollars would that be a good card for the money and how
slow would it be with that card and a diamond 3d 3000 with a p233 intel
with 64ram edo ??? any opinions on this matter would be greatly
appreciated.

That's a great deal.  It's worth the $40 bucks to at least try it out.
I paid $300 for mine when it first came out.  On a P233 that's a great
solution.  You will max out at 640x480, whereas you would be able to do
800x600 with a Voodoo2, but the price difference might not be worth it.

For about $100 you could get a PCI Banshee and run at 1024x768 on your
machine, but $100 and $40 aren't the same thing...

I have a different Voodoo1 card, but the Orchid will perform similarly.  At
$37, you can't go wrong.  Great buy.  Pairing it with the Diamond is fine as
the old Diamond is a good *** 2D card.  Though you may also want to
consider getting a new Voodoo2 (8MB) for a tad less than $100 as they are now
being pushed hard.  Look for these prices soon, if not now.  Check
pricewatch.com.
