I was wondering...is there anyway to play around with the *.ini files to have a
full race rather than just, say, ten laps in a race when you race at an
intermediate setting? Thanks!

Yes....Oh, you want to know how? Go to the GPL/SEASONS directory, and
edit the GP.INI. Of course, you're a wise person, so you'll make a
backup first. Go to the event of your choice, and alter the number of
laps.
Monza, for example has 68 laps for a full race. An (short)
intermediate race is 11 laps. To make a short intermediate race of 68
laps, multiply 68 with 68/11. That would be, uhmmmm, <tap> <tap> <tap>
421 laps.
If you did that, you can watch the AI for fun during a GP race. Here
you'll see prove that the AI has to deal with physics aswell. Due to
the fuelload they will miss almost all turns. :-)
