some questions about GP3

by Han Monsee » Tue, 25 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

I have not downloaded GP3; I'll wait untill friday (not because I am so much
against warez; I think most people only use warez version of software they
wouldnt't buy otherwise or buy the game legally if they like it). I prefer
to wait because I don't want to spend hours looking for a working
GP3-version etc.) but I have some questions about the features of GP3:

1) Is the weather completely random or is rain more likely on some tracks
(Spa, Nrburgring, Silverstone, ?sterreichring) and less likely on others
(Hungaroring, Imola)?

2) Can the weather be set manually?

3) Is GP3 playable on my second computer AMD K6-300MHz with Voodoo Banshee

4) Does networkplay slow the gameplay much?

5) Does GP3 have the same multiplayer-option as GP2?

6) Does the weather change faster if the racelenght is less than 100% (like
the day-and-night-rhithm in Le Mans)

If al these questions can be answered positively, I'll buy GP3 asap,
otherwise I'll buy GP3 asap.

greetings,
hgrm

Can't say for sure if weather is representive of the actual track location, It
can change radically from pre race warm up to race time.

You can increase the probability of rain yes, or set it to never rain

Eeeerrr with details waaay down likely, u probably will suffer the slowmo effect

I haven't tried, can't comment, But would like to..  Anyone hosting a race reply
to my email addy, I'd like to check it out, I am on Cable..

Never have seen GP2 +(

Dunno...

Tis worth buying if you are willing to race the AI or hotlap the majority of the
time.  Hopefully something can be done about the multiplayabilty

Yes & yes. Because the weather probability can be set manually, you
can guarantee that it will rain on a track.  Then on the next
track.say Australia where it never rains...<g>, you can set the
probability to zero, and race dry.

I am running on a AMD K62-350, 128 sdram, 8Mb Ati card.  NO d3d with
everything shut down.  Use 3d software rendering.  I like it, but you
have to keep in mind that with a card like mine...I havent seen the
effects you guys have.:-)

Dont race network.....I suck.

Has multiplayer but not sure, same reason as above.

Cheers
