How do I delete the copy protection at the front of Indycar Racing 1?
Also, is there any good web page on ICR1

has a link which claims to have a patch to remove it. (I thought that
one of the official patch levels (1.05 maybe) removed this silly and
obviously annoying copy protection mechanism...)

The newer boxes of icr1 (the ones that come with the bonus tracks, even
though it doesn't say it on the box) still 'ask' for a certain 'word'-
it just doesn't care what you type in. As matter of fact I think just
hitting the 'enter' (or 'return') key will get you past it.

That got me around the protection, I bought the game on CD ROM in a
discount bin at Kmart. I had an older version (it came on floppies) that
I had gotten at IMS with the Indy track pack. I don't believe any of the
patches ever removed the protection.
