: LF3000 is a series run using MicroProse's World Circuit or F1GP
: depending on where you happen to live. Same games, different names. The
: series, unlike formula1 is run much as a rally or a cycling stage race.
: All cars run a specified setup at the 16 different tracks, with the car
: completing the season in the shortest elapsed time winning the title.
: After 2 races one would be three and so minutes off the lead. [New driver
: start with the current last place time.] Its an interesting series and
: the competition is relatively well matched. Last weeks race was won by just
: 1 and a tick seconds. At any rate, LF3000 is merely a series not a game
: in and of itself. If you enjoy F1GP, this is a kick.

Sounds like a lot of fun, just a few questions and clarifications if
you will indulge me. Firstly let me see if I have got this straight:
People mail their car setups for a particular track.
Whoever runs it enters the setups into their version of F1GP
they run this race with full computer control of cars and equal
driver /car stats.
Finishing times are noted and the scores are updated.
OK that is my understanding (?) of the situation. now here are my
questions:
1) How does one become involved in the aforementioned series
2) How many seasons are running at once.
3) Is there a FAQ list available
4) how far through the season is the current game
5) How many 'drivers' are in the series
6) what does LF3000 stand for/mean?
Thanks a lot,
drive faster,
Geoff
