Upcoming GPL GP race!

Sunday, April 1(honest!<g>)
9am EST

I'm thinking either Monza or Road Atlanta.  Are people still having framerate
problems with RA?  Let me know if you're interested.

1) Get pencil
2) Get calendar
3) Mark calendar with pencil: "April 1st 13:00, drive in Eldred's GP"
4) Think
5) Mark calendar with pencil: "March 31st, download Road Atlanta"
6) Put away pencil and calendar

So, Eldred,
Does this mean that Malaysia on the 18th has been canceled?
Cheers,
Jens

Definately Eldred.

Road Atlanta is a bit of a frame hog though

RA still kicks my computers FPS ass.  But, I'm behind the times and
wouldn't join one of these races unless there is plenty of free slots.
I still feel bad that I may have caused somebody to miss that
Silverstone race months ago 'cause I was in there being a backmarker.

These GPs have never been about speed Brett (otherwise I wouldn't have won
one of 'm ;-)), just about challenge and respect for eachother.

I'm sure I speak for all of the regulars if I say you're welcome to join.
Besides, I thought Eldred was going to limit admittance..... am I right,
Eldred?

Well, I felt bad that my skill level wasn't up to the more serious
competitors and it had a negative effect on some folks race that day.

I appreciate that, Jan.  I don't mind being on the "standby" list.  If
there's a slot available come racetime, I'd be happy to join in, but I
know there are plenty who are more serious and skillful than I, so I'd
feel better if they got their chance first.

Count me in if there's a spot left..
I never drove much on RA, but right now I'm learning it for a league
race which I have in a week there. It's a superb track, so my vote
goes to RA.

If there is still a spot left for me, i'd like to give it a go at Road
Atlanta.

Why, Brett?  That was an OPEN race, and I *warned* people to get there on time.
 If they didn't, oh well...
Besides, I need SOMEONE to race around with.  Jens, Andre, and Jan(to name a
few) are out of sight until they come up to lap me...<g>

That wouldn't have anything to do with your pitstops, would it? As far
as I recall I beat you with superior strategy: You had to dash off every
25 laps, whereas I had catering. :-)

My vote goes to Monza. (If somebody's counting votes, that is.)

I think it is because I underestimated the seriousness of the
competitors considering I'm essentially just a duffer in an F1.  I do
recollect there was someone who missed the race because no more slots
were available and it was someone who had become a regular and a
serious competitor in these events.  I felt bad about that.  I may or
may not have a schedule conflict, but I'm keeping the event in mind.
I'm at least adequate at Monza...

We narrowed the choice down to either Monza or Road Atlanta if I
remember correctly? Well, my 'vote' went to RA, but after yesterday's
league race at RA my vote goes to Monza.
RA is a fantastic, very fun track, but too dangerous imho for a 2-hour
race.. that blind right-hander before the s/f line is a place where
you spin your car easily. And since the rest can't see if a car
spinned in that corner it's doomed to end a lot of competitors rather
quickly.

You beat me with superior SPEED.  No strategy of mine could have helped...
