Ginger or BowtNetterToDo's full name is Ginger Fletcher.  He uses a variety
of aliases when racing in open or semi-open races in N2002. When he races in
serious league races he uses his Ginger Fletcher login. This is a common
thing to do, certainly amongst the Brits I have raced against.

BTW, Ginger is a common nickname for a man here in England.

Cheers

"Phil Lee"
So you are saying that Ginger Baker wasn't on Gilligan's Island?

Now you're trying to catch me out with obscure references aren't you? <g>

Of course Ginger Baker was the drummer for Cream.  You probably would have
got me with Gilligan's Island if it hadn't been for the fact that I lived in
the States for a year in 1979/80 and watched it on TV, although I can't
remember an awful lot about it.  The main thing I remember is that it was on
TV on alternate days with Batman. To the best of my knowledge, Ginger Baker
didn't appear on Gilligan's Island. Of course Gilligan's Island also refers
to the short pit lane at Sears Point too :)

Well, I have to admit that bothers me. If he's gonna race with us, I
have to say that he should use the same nick every time.  Otherwise, we
don't know who he is or how to identify him. It might be common practice
(or even funny) to you guys across the pond, but honestly, I'm not
laughing.

I'm not trying to be a ***, I'm just voicing my own narrowly focused
opinion.

I guess it all comes down to knowing someone really. I have raced with
Ginger/Bowt online for about a year now and have had a good few chats in
VROC so am used to his sense of humour.

Like I said before, I almost ejected him based on the name.  The only thing
that saved him was when he mentioned Bowt.  I knew that name from GPL, so I let
him stay...  I don't like those types of names either, and *may* just create my
'muzzle list' from the off-beat names I see in chat.

The person on Gilligan's Island was Ginger Grant, movie star.  I still liked
Mary Ann better<g>.

I'm not objecting to the name he uses, I'm objecting to him using a
*different* name every time.

Well yeah - it makes it seem like he's avoiding muzzle lists.  I know THAT
can't be it, as he's a good driver...
