I was wondering why I was running dead last at so many tracks in N4 set at
full realism and 100%.  Tried Homestead and magically I was mid-pack (about
20th).  Loaded up the BHM set-up and boom, within 3 laps I am running at the
front.  Top 5 easily over the long run.  I don't consider Homestead to be
one of the easier tracks, so why can I run in the top 5 there with zero
practise and about 6 laps under my belt, but at Michigan or Atlanta I am
still at the back of the pack after hundreds of laps.  Atlanta was my best
track in N3 and it sure doesn't seem so hard when I am driving it.  I am
having no problem holding my line, but the speed just isn't there (compared
to the AI).  Something is wrong and it is seeming less and less like it is
me...

Marc.

You can beat ai easily at 100 at any track.

Just play a little with your Atlanta setup.  100% AI there is not that
hard to keep up with.  Except maybe with the default setups.

Marc, if its not one thing its another,. you've made so many various
complaints
slamming N4 that my question is why do you keep the game?

I tried the BHM one last night there.  My problem is that if I try to
mimic the AI's line and speed, I invariably either spin out or push up
into the wall.  Dunno how they do it.  Has anyone run the 190+ MPH
qualifying laps that the NASCAR boys turned last week?

Using what set-ups?  On full realism settings?  I somehow don't think this
is the general experience out there.

Full realism , no driving aids and the crappy Fast setups :)

You know, I am really getting tired of asinine non-responses like yours.  If
you don't like what I am posting, don't read it and certainly don't reply to
it.  I am asking others if they are experiencing what I am experiencing.
You can call that a complaint if you want--I don't.  It may turn into a
complain if many others are finding the same things I am, but I am not
stupid enough to assume there is a problem with the game when it may be me.
There are several flaws in N4 that I can be sure of, however.  A moron could
spot them in less than 5 minutes of play.

If you don't have an experience to relate/share, then f*** off.

Marc.

So what set-up for Atlanta do you use?  The BHM one is vastly better (for
me) than the Intermediate or Fast ones, but...

This problem exists in every sim.  There is HUGE variation in the skill,
talent and wisdom of sim racers.  N4 cannot be expected to magically know
how quick you are.  That's why they made the AI adjustable in the first
place.  I reccomend you shamelessly set the AI to 99% or whatever, and try
to enjoy it.

Honestly, I took one & just used Rodney Arndt's setup guide available at
http://www.sascar.com to further tweak it.  This guide seems to be a
real help.  To anyone out there, I'd suggest reading the entire document
and then really focus on the tire temperature section as you test &
tweak.  I know it has helped me a great deal.  I'm still refining the
setup out at Atlanta myself, but I'm getting much closer to being
content with it.  I've got maybe 2 hours into the tweak project so far.
And keeping up with the AI at 100% here is not a problem.  Keeping up
with the really fast drivers online is a whole lot harder than the AI!

Yep.  One of my teammates has registered a 191.357 qualifying run at 70F
using a setup we've been developing.

Show me one post of mine that qualifies as a troll.  People who reply with
useless non-responses are the bandwidth wasters.  Look in the mirror.
