Kyalami is my most hated track.  I can not find any consistency in my lap
times.  Every once in a while I will run a good lap and then it is right
back to missing corners and dropping wheels into the dirt.  I have the same
problem at Monaco, but at least there I have more interesting scenery to
crash into.

I used to hate Zandvoort.  Now I don't mind it too much.  I'm still not FAST
there, but I don't detest it anymore...

Geez, you've dropped 20 seconds in what, 1 1/2 weeks?!?  I envy you, sir.
What's the magic bullet(for you)?

Kyalami is ok, but I'd be better if I could get turns 1 and 5 correct.  Those
are my weak points on that track...
Silverstone, the fast left-handers(Abbey, Chapel) eat me up all the time.

1) Replacing my Voodoo1 with a V3. Result - steady 36fps.
2) A new setup for the Ring (available to anyone who wants it).
3) Ringtrainer. 10 minutes per hotlap instead of 18.
4) The GPLEA Lotus. I find it easier to read the dials.
5) GPL Replay Analyser. I've had it a while, but never really bothered
to use it properly.
6) An unusually long chunk of spare time :-)

Abbey - on the preceding short straight, go *way* over to the right -
almost on the grass. Take the corner steadily in 4th, lifing off but
not braking.

Chapel - ditto, but in 3rd gear. I get this one wrong more often than
anywhere else at Silverstone.

I already have 1, 3, and 5.  I drive the Ferrari, so 2 and 4 don't apply.  6?

Penfold, SHUSH! :)
I started out in the Eagle, then went to the Ferrari after Alison's setups came
out.  I used the Cooper for a league I was in, and I've run championships in
the Cooper, Eagle, Ferrari, and Brabham.  Doesn't sound blind to me...<g>
I just canNOT drive the Lotus.  On several tracks, my Lotus PB is much slower
than the other cars.

Sacrilege.....leaving my Red Honey....will never happen. I dropped 5
seconds off my Silverstone time last night and was so happy. I had
tried and tried to get below 1:35 at Monoco...almost 35 laps...I could
equal my best but not go below. Then a little frustration at the Ring
and I decided to see if Monza felt like allowing me to get below
1:31..but it was not to be...so off to Silverstone and she indeed let
me into her secrets...hehe

Yes, but not as much.  My PB with the Ferrari is 1:30.17 - with the Lotus,
1:30.53.  Monaco's the worst - I'm 4 seconds slower in the Lotus, 3 seconds
slower at Mexico.

What setups are you using? Your's, default, or someone else's? I'm using
Alison Hine's, but sooner or later I'm going to have to start experimenting
with creating my own setups. I've only had two weeks so that's my excuse. :)
With Alison's setups the Lotus flies at Monza, and with it, even I can get
close to breaking 1:30 after a medium-length practice session. But in the
default setup, I'm at 1:32 or so, haven't tried it for a while.

Bendito;

P.S. I won my first novice race, at Monza, a few days ago. Even out-jumped
Clark at the start. Got my ugly face in the newspaper! :)

Various.  I've tried setups from Alison, Graeme Nash, and Greger Huttu mainly.
I'm 8 seconds slower than Huttu using the exact same setup.  Frustrating.

Congrats!  Now win a championship... :)
