Smirnoff Ice(tm) of Diageo North America, Inc. and Onlineracin.com,
Inc. announced their partnership today. In an effort to increase
awareness of the Smirnoff Ice(tm) Triple Black campaign, Smirnoff
Ice(tm) will be providing funds to back the long time pay-to-play
service through several avenues. Media planner for the
Smirnoff-Onlineracin.com campaign, Charles Liao stated, "This is a
legitimate effort sponsored by Smirnoff."

Onlineracin.com TV is the first outlet that has been chosen to kick
off the Smirnoff Ice(tm) Triple Black campaign. This free service will
be offered to the public soon in an effort to attract additional
sponsors as well as a means of increasing registrants through the
"Hang with Matt & the Crew Sweepstakes". Onlineracin.com VP, Jayme
Blackmon helped expedite this agreement stating, "The sweepstakes
effort will be a chance for individual simracers to take part in
increasing awareness of simulation racing; It's very simple, the more
registrants for the sweepstakes, the more Smirnoff will aid the
simracing community. I encourage all simracers to publicize this as
much as possible."

Shite site design though - another one of those "one browser only"
(read: MS/IE-only) jobbies, from the looks of it.   Couldn't even get it
to work with Mozilla.

(And somehow I doubt if it supports GPL... which it *should*, of course  ;)

tough crowd. hahahaha

On the site, we are coming out with the new site really soon.  We are
just about done and need to wait for the patch to make a few more
tweaks, but it's looking really good and I have been using it for the
past month.

On GPL, that's something I have been pushing for the next project once
we get the new site up with OLRtv.  Smirnoff is the huge contributor
to our OLRtv.
