Will N2 install and run on a win98 system?
I have a new gateway200 system withan STB AGP video board.
I am unable to install univbe due to no supervga being detected.
after that when I try to run nascar 2 the startup plays but it goes no
further.

any feedback would be appreciated

Yes.

I have never installed Univbe on any system I have ever run any sim on and
they always work fine.

Are you using the DOS version or the Win 95 version?

John,

some video cards (and/or monitors) do not the UNIVBE feature.  To insure
that this is not enabled, delete the files "univbe.drv" and "uvconfig.dat"
out of your \Nascar2 directory.

This should clear up confusion.

although Windows isn't mentioned, I assume the windows Version
because shortcuts are created by the install.
I have another system running win95 and I get the same
result. I installed Nascar2 without univbe and when I
run either the shortcut or the exe the startup/intro runs with
the sierra logo, the cars going around the track and then it exits
and I am back to windows.

any clues?????

I am getting an Vesa error.
I do have a Number Nine 3D revolution AGP video card
