it? I need the input of yourselves and every online racer you know. I'm
currently in the process of putting together a stand alone *** server
dedicated for Nascar. I've got the hardware in place, T3 connections, the
works. The largest and most complicated issue right now is the software
platform to run the site. N3 has some issues that are making it a bit
challenging but with time we should prevail. Hopefully Papy will release a
patch to make our job easier and get us going faster :) but if not, we'll
figure it out for ourselves.
Here's where you come in. I need your help in developing the platform.
Questions:
*What did you like most about TEN?
*What did you like least about TEN?
*What would you change?
*What would you add to make it better?
*What's your idea of the "ultimate league"? (a separate but very exciting
issue)
*How do you feel about an umbrella organization that would be a shelter for
all of the existing leagues and future leagues. (One big voice so to speak,
a forum for sharing ideas, getting endor***ts, gaining some clout with the
offline world ie:software companies etc.)
To put it simply, our goal is to create a stand alone racing server built
strictly for the online racing community by the online racing community. And
of course it will grow, modify and change with the online racing community.
We're hooked on the fastest growing sport in the world and enjoying it on
the fastest growing medium in the world. I personally feel the biggest
downfall of TEN was the stagnation and complacency with the platform they
were providing. Let's take our sport into our own hands. I've raced real
cars and I've raced the sim, the feel, the sounds and the smells are a
little different but the adrenaline rush and the pure thrill of door to door
competition is identical.
Your help is greatly needed and appreciated.
Thanx, Dave Boothe
