It is my imagination or does the new V1.07 3dfx
patch seem slower? Since you can apparently go
back & forth from version to version by re-installing
the older patch, I tried both one after another. It
kind of seems that V1.05 has a smoother framerate
than V1.07. I did read that the D3D version had this
problem which is why I think I may be imagining it :-)

Anyone else?

Yep, I got the same impression when I installed the patch
yesterday! OTOH, I'll have to recheck if I have all the
options set like in the V1.05 (I did a reinstall
and didn't save my configuration file 8^( ).

I was affraid of that. I'm sticking with V1.05 for the moment
I think. The only improvement I might want from V1.07 is
that the tire temps are supposed to track with camber now.

My configs were unchanged. I did not have to go and reselect
random weather or manual shifting. I think the patch simply
replaces the F1VOO.EXE nothing more.

Your not imagining it, I have the same problem too.  Going back to 1.05 for
now and calling UbiSoft tomorrow.  See ya.

Er, "me too".  Seems a fair bit slower, especially in a race.  If I
alt-tab to the Windows desktop it looks like there is now very little CPU
left for any other processes.
