Does the accelerator drag in Nascar2?

I was messing around with the demo the other day. I must say, great
creation. The tracks are great, the AI is great, the spotter kicks ass,
and the control is much better.

However, every now and then I'd be holding the accelerator down and the
speed would stay the same, if not go down. I'd have to get off the
accelerator quickly and then get back on. This presented a problem mainly
at Watkins Glen, as I frequently don't get off the accelerator at Atlanta.

Also, Papyrus, did you redesign Talladega so 1) You can safely race 3-wide
in the tri-oval and 2) The AI drivers actually keep up with you in the
backstretch? Another thing is will cars smoke when they blow an engine or
have any other mechanical problem which causes them to drop out of the
race or go into the garage for extended repairs?

I haven't run into this problem.

The Papyrus guys have said here before that they've done some 3-wide racing
in the new tri-oval. Can't say anything about the AI at Dega or the smoke
and extended repairs.

I have never seen this, what type controller are you using, I use the
TSW and it doesnt do this, my CH flightstick doesnt either.

The only time I have had this happen is with my CH pedals.  There is a
switch to set them for plane/car.  If set to plane, the brake and
accelerator are both pressed when a pedal is pressed.  Probably not
your case though...

Yes, Papyrus did fix Dega so you can race 3 wide.  They took out Ernie
Ervan and John Andretti's cars.
