weird GP3

hi everybody
first of all I know my PC is slow (better: very slow compared to the new
ones) so don't tell me that :-)

my pc: P200, 128MB Ram, Voodoo 2 and (original) Matrox Millenium
now to the weird thing:
I'm starting GP3 with the V2 and set it to the lowest resolution. In the
***pit view I got processor occupancy about 500-800% in the TV view I only
got 80-250% ? Does anyone know why ? Playing with 500-800% isn't possible so
I switched to Software 3D and know I got 300-450% ! Can it be ? A V2 is
slower than the Software 3D ?

I tried the V2 fix but it didn't help, except for the graphic faults now
appearing.

yours

Snipped from the readme on the CD :

Here are some tips for
lowering the occupancy:-

- Run the game in a lower resolution
- Switch off some of the textures used in-game, starting with the mirrors
- Turn off some of the trackside objects
- Lower the frame rate setting

If you are trying to run in 3D hardware mode, some video cards may not
perform
as well as others, so it is recommended that you try running in software 3D
mode,
as performance may be improved.

Or go to www.alphaf1.com/gp3 and get the Voodoo 2 patch that is there.

There is a problem with the V2 and GP3. Hopefully this will be addressed
soon in an official patch.
