GTR2002 can't change cars and also dump me back to desktop.

Finally, got the time to install GTR2002.  Did few laps in Monza.  For some
reason, I can't change to different cars.  When I clicked on Change Cars, I
am seeing another blank menu.  Also, the game will dump me back to the
desktop about 80% loading of the track.
