I just reinstalled N2 and the damn thing corrupted my IE3.0. I
remember others having this problem but I cant remember the solution.
Reinstalling IE 3.0 does not work. Anyone?

Re-install 3.01.  Fixes it every time.  Next time, install it from DOS.

Try using Netscape, it's a better program and won't conflict with N2

I just purchased Nascar2....and last night my IExplorer went nuts...I had
to dl another copy...but didn't know hwta caused the problem. I don't see
any patch at Sierra that would fix this. Where is it exactly?

Thanks,
Bob

Use the AutoUpdate Program (Sigspat.exe) to download the fix.
Apparently the install program overwrites a DLL that is needed by
IExplorer.

And... All you have to do is accidentialy run the N2 Win95 install program.
Even if you immediately QUIT and do not install you are screwed. Your
Iexplorer3.0 is hosed. I know. I beta tested this part after I bought the
game :-)
I knew (from early posts here) that there were problems with the install
program
and IE. What I did not know was that you just needed to run the install
program and get the opening screen to***up your IE. Also, re-installing
IE 3.0 will *NOT* fix the problem. You need IE3.01. (More info for the FAQ
as I did not see this stuff in there.) Of course this is only important if
you
ran the Win95 install program before you got the AutoUpdate.

Catch22. If someone has been wise enough to avoid the problem in the
first place by installing the DOS version without the SIERRA junk, how
do you get the patch? (so you can, if you later want to, perform a N2
re-install from Win95 and subsequently patch without logging into Sierra
for the fix) ie: Navigating Sierra's W3 site is a sloooow nightmare, and
the patch *file* per se can't be found. (not by me at least) You
apparently have to have their Win95 auto-updater & associated junk
installed first!

For the record Sierra, I despise your "now eat all the food off your
spoon baby" approach to users.

Really!!! I have been sitting back laughing & watching this. I
wondered how long it would take someone to ask this question.
