Internet Race Finder Now Working!

Internet Race Finder Now Working!

It's finally working!

Here are my Win2K Server IP Forwarding Settings.  Some of the entries might
not be needed.  I basically tossed in every number I've seen thrown around.
I will trim it down and find out the _exact_ number that's magic eventually,
but for now I want to go do some racing I haven't been able to do in over 2
weeks!

Win2K Server ICS IP Forwarding Settings for Internet Race Finder
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Name Of Application - Internet Race Finder

Remote Server Port Number - 4555 UDP.

Incomming Response Ports - 4555, 4301, 2005, 32766-32808 UDP.

I hope this helps someone.  It sure took long enough for me to get it
working :)

Also, this means there may be trouble for LinkSYS Router owners.  The above
ports are all UDP.  The LinkSYS router does not allow you to select between
TCP and UDP, it only forwards TCP.

I never realized what a serious ommision this was on LinkSYS's part until
now :(

I don't know what is incorrect in your config larry but the Linksys Besfr41
"DOES" host N4 through IRF as well as connect as a client.  The host machine
is not in the DMZ btw.

The 1.37 firmware release now let's you select TCP or UDP or BOTH. Just
thought I would add that.

You're the first I've heard about to get it working without using the DMZ
setting...
