I did not see this in the FAQ (or TSW site)so here goes:

All of a sudden, I am stuck in first gear & not able to shift (using a
TSW wheel). All other controls (steering & acceleration/braking)function
correctly. When I attempt to set controls the screen freezes leaving me
to end & relaunch the program.

Have shut down pc  & re-plugged, etc.. to no avail. Again, the game gets
hung up every time I  try to set the gears.

I could use a hand here. Thanks,George Clark.

Sounds like maybe you're having a problem with the wiring on the push
buttons. On my TSW, sometimes the cover will put a little pressure on the
1/8" plug that connects the buttons on the wheel to the unit and it pops
out just the tiniest bit, but enough to keep the shifter from working.
