I know this is off topic, but just in case anyone has missed it.
Take a look at the "new" GTO. Pontiac will be importing a honest to goodness
V8-Supercar for the American market. The car is based on the Monaro (I
think, perhaps an Australian car clarify it for me...).
If you are a fan of the V8 supercars, and thanks to SpeedTV more of us
Americans have the chance to become Supercar fans, this is just amazing
news. Since we can't import a "real" supercar into the states, I have tried,
I can't wait to get one of these.
www.pontiac.com has a flash presentation if you haven't seen this car yet.
Let's hope they switch the IROC series to these cars for next year. That
with some new tracks would make that an awesome series.

the mustang concept under auto shows

Looks like half old Nissan 300Z and Mercedes SLK thrown together.
The side profile is NOT flattering.   Boxy flat and droll.

I love the 2005 Mustang concept.

Although I haven't seen the interior of the GTO... it is a Pontiac so it
will most likely be made of cheap feeling plastic, bad color lighting and
legos.  <G>

Yeah, because there's no way Ford would make something as Butt-Ugly as a
Pontiac. ;P

I think Cadillac is the only make with an uglier lineup than Pontiac, heheh.

(Although that new GTO looks ok)

I have always been a fan of camaro's but especially late model camaros with
the ls1 engine. After they "discontinued" it 2002, I was wondering what they
down at GM were gonna put that baaadddd motor in besides the corvette. Now I
cant wait to see what kinda time and top speed this thing will have with a
supercharger.
here's a link to a f.i. ls1 gettin up and going.
 http://www.ls1motorsports.com/home.asp
makes me shiver.
can't wait for some gto forums to start popping up.

that shot from the back looks a lot like a toned down mustang with a ls1 in
it.
toned down body styling that is.

HEY! No Pontiac is ever ugly (the Aztec doesn't count, YIKES!) My 2000
Grand Prix ROCKS! So did my grandfather's hand-me-down '76 Parisienne,
lol. Now that was a big car!

I like it. To me it looks like a hybrid Grand Prix (grills, headlights,
hood contours)/Grand Am (rear end, rear quarter windows, roof line)

Who made the Taurus then?  Or the Topaz (or whatever the hell that
ugly smaller Taurus was called).  For that matter any Mustang made
since the early 80's when they decided to make it look like a big
Escort. =p

No offense meant to Ford, I mean the GT40 was nice and all, but
everything started going to hell with the Pinto and Escort really.
