A few days ago, I came across an article written by Nannini at High
Gear (simracingnews.com),on setting up a lotus with just one setup for all
tracks. This sounded very strange.  Since I became involved with racing
sims,we have developed a separate setup for each track.  So as I read the
multi page article,I was leery to say the least. But his theory of basing
everything on the % of weight over the rear wheels made sense.  With the
Lotus having basically 60% of its weight over the rear wheels he went on to
develop his setup based on the wheel rates set at 40/60% and the sway bars
at 60/40%. Without going through the whole article here, his point was that
once you got the Lotus to be neutral,it should apply to all turns and all
tracks.

So I downloaded the setup and tried it out. It worked!! I ran 7
tracks, and at all of them the Lotus was a smooth neutral handling car.
What's more,I set PB at 4 tracks!

Has anyone else read this article and tried this setup out?

I haven't tried the Nunnini Lotus setup because I am driving for Honda at
the moment. But the article is brilliant. I adapted the theory on the Honda,
and while I haven't yet got the last little tweaks sorted yet, the idea does
work. I instantly started getting personal bests for the Honda, and some
outright bests. More people should read it! :-)
