>>Two words: Old Mac.
> Sounds great, how does it run GPL/F1C/N2003? =)

Dunno 'bout the first ones but if you have a notso-old, it runs NR2003
just fine   ;)

?  Well like I said in my previous message: what's wrong with NR2003?

(Yes, there is a MacOSX-version too, you know   ;)

I'll be trying to find out if some of the pc mods/addons work on the Mac
version as well but first I'm waiting for a G5 to test on!

I love it when Windows people say "yeah, mine's been infected... lost
data... AGAIN"     ;)

<grin>

Don't worry though, I've got a Repentium for comparison (to run GPL on)
as well...

(Actually, that's probably the thing about Windows and Mac people.

Whether they want to or not - usually, they don't, but hey, that's life
- Mac users will always have some hands-on Windows knowledge --

(from their job, local institutions, pc-using neighbours, pre-Mac days
etc). Consequence of this being a Windows-monopolised world, I'm afraid.

Windows users who have hands-on Mac experience (other than maybe just
'mousing around' for two minutes), on the other hand, are pretty rare.
So I'll leave it up to you to figure out who is best placed to make
actual comparisons, hum hum...)

heck, I'm a WinTel guy.. and I have "Hands On" Mac experience...
I put my hands on and around the last mac guys puter who was preaching
aplle crap, and promptly threw it out the window....

after he had said something along the lines of " my apple would never
crash like windows does..." well he was wrong, the window and the mac
both crashed :)

Well, I could just not use a computer at all, be immune, have the same
software choices as Mac users, AND save money.

Personally I consider it a Gold Mine....I get paid to fix this stuff as
it's not covered by the warranty I give on my PC's :-)

Sorry, couldn't resist on behalf of all other lowly Mac users...

(There's even talk that the US power outs could be a result of safety
overrides in the power grid shutting down because of worm infections;
dunno if that's true though.)
