New Pot for Pedals?

New Pot for Pedals?

by Tony » Wed, 13 Feb 2002 20:59:21

My Guillemot force feedback wheel's accelerator pedal has died. Full
throttle comes randomly with foot to floor. Contact cleaner resurrects it
for 10 minutes.

Is there any advice on replacing the pot? Easy right - just need a soldering
iron?

Would be very happy to find a competent repairer in Adelaide........

Thanks for any help

Tony,

If you know what size pot it is (100k ohm? 250k ohm?) then go
here.........

http://www.digikey.com/

and order one from them. Some pots will say right on the
back.......something like 100k of .1 meg. Also, I think the ones I use
are 2 watt pots. Make sure you get a linear pot!
