I'm just stating that the changes aren't major.  We are still talking about
basically the same file architecture, the same 3d modeling and the same game
engine.  Someday people will find a way to convert tracks.

No, you guys have learned your lesson :-), but it was kinda funny at the
time, and it wasn't that long before David released his converters
either, it's one of those moments you tend to remember

Few things in life are truly impossible, "just" a matter of the right
person(s) having the persistence and knowledge, hope it happens sooner
than later, my copies of N4 is arriving early next week, so that would
be a good time, but since we have Glen and Sear already, I can wait a
couple of more weeks......:-)

If it's left to me it will never happen, wish I had that kind of
knowledge though

Now that you guys have completed N4, when will you start on "AussieV8
Racing 1" ?

I have little doubt that some people might do that one day, but you were
arguing that you "don't see any major changes in the file architecture",
yet we had a couple of people who are known for their skills in this
area telling you otherwise, and your reply was "Like I said, it's not a
major change"

Time to back up some of your statements Frank, instead of just implying
that you know something that the rest of us don't, for the time being I
will consider Nigel's and Martin's work in the past to be all the backup
they'll need to do

Uh?  Where did you assume that?   Tell me please Uncle.

In just about every post you write about these issues you do just that,
you always argue with people, but you never back it up with facts,
here's an example yet again

---

> Don't hold yer breath.

Uhhh, ignoring the fact that the .dat files are now compressed (yet you
can
still drop any file into the folder instead of putting it inside the
.dat),
N4 shares the same engine as GPL and have very, very similar file
architecture.  It's just a matter of knowing how to, there won't be any
difficulty transfering GPL tracks to N4 and vice-versa.

> So you've done it then ? :-=

I think everybody went as far as they could considering the demo didn't
have
the full file lists and information.

I don't see any major changes in the file architecture, what are those
you
are saying?

> So you have a broad understanding of the 3dos and the ptf, and don't see
> anything much different ?

Like I said, it's not a major change.
---

And this is from this thread alone, several people have asked you what
you know about this subject, and your only answer seems to be "I know"

Why can't you ever back up some of your statements with facts, several
of the people who have asked you these questions are known for their
skills for picking apart Papy's sims, so far I've yet to see much work
released that has been credited to you ?

Feel free to set the record straight here Frank, I've been told that
Crow tastes much like chicken and I'm quite prepared to eat it, or are
you a member of this "Secret GPL editing society" that you went on about
in this NG a couple of months ago, and are bound to secrecy perhaps ?
