GPL - Help with Driver.ini

Having already tinkered with the 'slow' driver.ini file provided on Alison's
site, am I right in thinking that altering the global_hype_scaling simply
affects the rate at which AI drivers respond to your quickest laps, and not
the amount?

If this is the case, does the variable exist to control how quick the AI is?
As a recent returner to GPL, and running FD cars, I like to make small
improvements, and have found that after the first few races, the likes of
Clarke, Hill et al are blowing me completely away. Is it possible to amend
the amount of speed which they respond to my best laps with?

Thanks in advance,

Rick.

PS - FD...what's the 'D' stand for?

there is a file on or linked at Allison's site called AI tweeker(or ai
tweek?).  It allows you to scale back the ai or even speed them up.
Here is a trick I beleive Eldred uses.  He resets the AI to what they are
after first being installed.  Then he sets the write-protection on that file
so that GPL's global hype can't update the AI speed.  I'm not sure If Eldred
used the tweek program to modify his ai files or just re-installed GPL to
get the fresh settings.

I re-installed GPL.  The file you write-protect is player.sts.  This causes the
AI to stay at the speed they had out of the box.  I *have* used TweakAI to
speed up the slower half of the field.  The back end of the grid is TOO slow.

Tweak can work either way Dave!! I just setup each driver with any
intensity that I want higher or lower!! That wrotten Bandini use to be
all over me when driving offline so I fixed his ***and I dropped him
a 'notch' via "Tweak"!! hehehe Fixed him...lol
Cheers Thom_j.
