Just try setting the npt_override in gpl_ai.ini to something like 0.5, and
watch an in-car view of Clarke lapping at Monza - especially parabolica!

I don't think anyone's worked out how  to do it for the player car, and if
they did I hope they wouldn't tell anyone else - it would ruin online races!

On the other hand I think it's possible for the track designer to set the
level of grip for each surface, so I guess a twisty high-grip track might
give you what you want - and as long as everyone else in the race was using
the same track, it would be OK for VROC as well!

I'm sure *you're* not into getting an unfair advantage: the problem is that
once the knowledge is available, inevitably we will be swamped by cheats.

If there was a way to set the grip level at the server end, so that all
racers had the same grip, that would be ideal: otherwise the knowledge is
just too dangerous!

I think Oppenheimer wanted to un-invent the atomic bomb, but.......

Nope, the only thing I can advise is practice, practice, practice and have a
weeks break every month (there is a scientific explanation for why this
works but I can't be arsed to write it down ;0) oh and you could try F1 cars
with F3 or F2 engines with the GPL Engine Swapper:

The AI aren't infact driving the same cars as us, just watch them could you
get the car round the track using that little lock? They don't use the gpl
physics engine (if they did it would be a 'massive performance hog) the are
just sort of pulled round the track on a string.

YOU DON'T NEED MORE GRIP!  YOU NEED A SLOWER CAR!

Download GEM (GPL engine manager) and run FD or FG class.  Its in the
vroc-f2 files area, just join up.

LOL... No it's to do with breaking down the program structures that develop
in the brain so you can unlearn bad habits :-P

If it's a habit, it can't be THAT bad...can it?????
