GPL Track Altitude??

by Chris Bloo » Wed, 05 Apr 2000 04:00:00

In the track.ini files there is a line as follows:

track_altitude = 0.0

On all tracks (even Kyalami which in real life is about 1700 m
above sea level) it is 0.0.  What is the reason for this line?

Were Papyrus hoping to model varying engine power depending on
the altitude?

Was it left out due to lack of time or because it was too
complicated?

Has anyone tried changing this value?  If so, does it make any
differance?

Maybe it is a feature we will see in GPL2?

Chris
