rec.autos.simulators

I have no more audio in F1rs for some reason.  When the country screens
load there is sound, but in the game there is no more audio.  Can
someone please help.  I have had the game for 6 months and has worked
well in the past.  I installed some screensavers and right after this,
the game showed this problem.  Not sure if it was a coincidence or it
affected the game.  I have uninstalled them.  I have reinstalled F1rs
again and again, but no cure.  I have reinstalled directx drivers also.
Furthermore, once I load F1rs with the sound problem, all my other games
like Nhl98 and Fifa98 show signs of audio problems also.  I have to
reboot my computer for these other games to work properly again.  Please
any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Well, another person making the fundamental mistake of trying to use
Windows for anything besides ***... I try to keep my system very
clean, only installing games and no other gimmicks, and for all
serious work I am using nothing but Linux. This approach has worked
very well for me over the last four years (I didn't even have windows
until F1RS "forced" me to install it).

I've had the dissappearing sound problem too, but a reboot usually
fixed the problem.
