I walked into an Egghead store in Cary, NC on 12/26, looking to buy N2
with my gift certificate. The salesperson said they took it off the
shelves and sent it back because it was too full of bugs!!!.
Papyrus/Sierra, do you know about this?

The people at the Egghead in Durham, NC said the same thing and that they
would not be re-stocking the game until January/February, when a new
release was supposed to come out. Funny, the Best Buy's 1 mile down the
road had a ton of copies.

Yes, there are some game features that I think Papyrus was smoking
dope when they left off, ESPECIALLY the Save Game, but I feel they'll
correct those oversights with a patch ASAP along with *any*
program-related bugs that others have reported.
But, for my $49.95, it's a damn good game and doesn't warrant Egghead
"jerking it from the shelves."
My $.02, and I sincerely hope that everyone who IS having problems
running the game gets them fixed... just that the fix is likely in
your machines and not in the game itself.

Did they do the same for Windows95?

You think Papyrus....Oops, Sierra is going to come out with a patch quickly? You may be waiting for a Looonnngg time. I hope for your sake I am wrong, but Indycar 2 came out in December 95, and the patch that was promised didn't come out till June. The delay may have been caused by Sierra's buying of Papyrus, but I've heard rumors that Sierra is just as poor about supporting their other games.
Later,

I bought the first copy of N2 from the Cary, NC store (they had to get it
out of the shipping box for me) and other than some minor annoyances, ie.
having to do a full install to load user setups, and the sound not being
quite as loud as it should be, I've had nothing but fun with it so far.
I've about decided Egghead is in need of all the Kings horses and all the
Kings men to put them back together again.

Buy it at Best buy for $29.95 or take a Best Buy add to CompUSA and
they will match it. $29 is a great price for this game.
