Q: Nascar racing: how to start a network game?

I just can't get Nascar 1.21 to run on our peer-to-peer network. It's
supposed to start with nascar -n:[userid]. What's this userid? How
does it work? Did anybody get it to work? Thanks in advance for any
suggestions!

Cheers!

The userid is your login username for a novell server, which you have to have
to play a network game. And guess how many people have one of those at home!

Let me start by saying that I have NOT tried playing NASCAR on a network.

But, if NASCAR is like DOOM all you need is the ipx client drivers from
Novell(they should be on their home page), network cards, and cabling.
You don't have to have a server.  Put whatever you want for userid as
long as they are not the same.

Like I said above, I have not tried this with NASCAR, so I don't know if
it will work with NASCAR.  It does work with DOOM.

NASCAR is not like DOOM; you need a Novell server to use the undocumented,
unsupported network option.
