GPL addons question

by MadDAW » Sat, 29 Jun 2002 01:25:48

I'm on vacation next week and my NASCAR league has the week of as well. I
was thinking of reinstalling GPL for my vacation. Anyway I was wonder what
are the "best" cars out there. I'm thinking that GPLEA's Honda and Ferrari
are tops in their class, but not sure about the rest. I'd like to find
complete cars not ones I have to piece together from a bunch of different
sites. I'm also looking for some recommendations on some new tracks. Again
I'd like to find complete packages.

What is this GPLaim? I'm sure it has its purpose, but what was so hard about
unzipping files to giving folder?

TIA

To get all the best cars you need the jfcarset, Bruce Johnsons Brabham
and the GPLEA Eagle, Honda and Ferrari

GPLAIM is an AI manager.
GPLCSM is a car set manager made by the same person (you'll need it to
install the cars). It's really easy to use and very handy.

If you need more help, the forum at http://www.racesimcentral.com is by
far the most active and very freindly and helpful too. There's a
beginners guide there too that should have links to all the bits you
need or search the forum.

Does anyone know of a mirror site to get GPLAIM/GPLCSM?  The author's website has apparently been told to discontinue their download of the binaries (I'm assuming because of bandwith used).  I installed GPL after a 2 year hiatus this past week myself, and wanted to implement some of the great work that's been put into some of these carsets, but the only place to dload the utilities seems to have been from the author's page.
thanks for any help...

There's a good site (the best) with a always actual list of updates for GPL:
http://gplpp.com/

try this,

Rolf
