single site for GPL addons/ upgrades?

I'm about to install GPL on a new computer.  Can someone please point me in
the direction of a convenient site to get any (hopefully all) critical
updates / addons, etc.?

Thanks,
Itazura

No single site has all the updates, tracks, eye candy, etc....but two have links to nearly
everything you could ever want.

The advice you've gotten above is spot on. Add these two forums, where many
of those most heavily involved in the development of new goodies for GPL
hang out, and you're pretty well hooked up.

http://forum.racesimcentral.com/

http://forum.racesim.net/forumdisplay.php?s=39d7fb081d9fb155d59550a1d...

The only thing left for you to do is to get hooked up for online racing
against real humans!

First go here, the Virtual Racers' Online Connection, for the software
needed, and instructions:

http://didnt.doit.wisc.edu/vroc/

Then, for a good learning environment, go to the VROC-F2 Club:

See you around!

The same US Pits that still has Spy Girl on it's pages?  Ah yes - you'll
find ALL of the decent addons there.

COUGH

You want to try the URL from the next post down to track down everything

Thanks for the tips.  I've got the game up and running, have new textures
for the cars, and I'm now signed up on the F2 VROC group.  I've only run one
track so far (Monza) but am having a blast.

I like GPL-The Addons and Sim Racing Connection:

http://www.gplpp.com

http://www.simracingconnection.racesim.net/

Also, the US Pits has to get special mention in any site
recommendation just for being there from the begininng.  I can't even
remember all the sim sites that have come and gone since I first found
the pits (anyone remember the old Sim Racing News site?):

SpyGirl is still a very useful program.  What's *your* beef with the USPits?

USPits?

He's annoyed that I told him off for his lousy attitude the first time,
methinks...  ;]
...so he takes it out by making snide remarks when he thinks we're not
looking...  ;]

However, to show we're not above ourselves here, here's some links that do a
better
job than we do on keeping up with the GPL scene (although you can visit our
pages
for a ton of stuff)  ;]

http://gplpp.com/  GPL++ the addons.  He keeps up with alot of GPL stuff,
great page
http://www.noctua.f2s.com/links.html   Ultimate GPL links page.  If you
can't find it here, it's probably not available
http://www.racesimcentral.com/  for the latest happenings in GPL, see their
GPL forums.  Release ready is a good one

Cheers!
