I don't know if this question has been posted in the past, if it has
please direct me to the FAQ.

I downloaded the '96 car set for my version 1.0 simulator. My custom
painted car does not appear when I pull up the new set.

How can I create my own paint job using the '96 car set?

                                                         Thanks!

Well, if you had a car in a previous set, you need to import it into
your new set.  Export it from wherever it is, then at the DOS prompt
type "paintkit cars96" and then hit the import button on the player
car in that set.

If youn still have a file of your custom painted car, use the
import/export feature, see your manual for details.

To get to the 96 car set type at the DOS prompt:  PAINTKIT CARS96 <CR>.

That will load the 96 set for editing.  If you have a car in the 94 set that you would like to carry
over, I would load paintkit with the set that has your car.  Select your car and then hit the export
button.  This should save a PCX file called "NASC94.PCX".

Then load the 96 set as mentioned above, select the first car after the pace car and hit the
import button.  Be sure to save this before exiting!!
