Questions ICR2

by Matt » Mon, 04 Aug 1997 04:00:00

Hello all,

I just decided to put my rendition version of ICR2 on my computer and a
few questions came up.

1) Are there any patches out that i should get? If so, can someone
please point me in the right direction? Also are they easy to install.
2) Are there any files on the net that might make the game more
enjoyable? I'm not really into car sets and stuff. With ICR2 I'm just
looking to get in the car and race. But if there are set-ups on the net,
that would be cool. Unlike N2, I don't really know a whole lot to mess
around with set ups and stuff.
3) to play the game, I first type in INDYFAST and the screen goes blank.
The a small line of "pixle dust" comes across the screen, then that
disappers and thegame runs fine...so far I think. Also what happens, is
when I'm in the pits, and the timer is going...I get little red lines
across the top of the screen. Then the timer turns green and so do the
lines. but the it all disappers, timer and the lines. Is that normal? So
far I don't see a problem with it. Plus it doesn't help to know that my
Reactor card is messed up. Won't load WIN95 higher that 16 color...Which
sucks, but seems to play all my games that run in DOS fine.
Well If anyone has some answers, please tell me:-)
Thanks,

William Dahm

good move.  Many people still play ICR2 even as old as it is

the only bug fix is the paintkit patchthis and many carsets and other
stuff r at
www.theuspits.com

hm . . . well, there are at least some things you have to change

make sure to adjust the wheel lock.  Try different settings
the whel lock is what allows you to fit the game to your individual
controller.  many people like wheel lock only about 1/2 of what the
stock set-up give u on smoe tracks, often ovals.  However, on
temp street courses with at least one real sharp turn you have to
make sure the wheel lock is big enough to get a slight tire squeek
on even the sharpest turn

2nd, take a look at the AR bars.  U can adjust these with the
+_  aka -=  keys and the [] aka {} keys.  Look on the dash and u
will see lines at the top right labeled "F" and "R".  these r the front
and rear AR bars.  make the front bar full and the rear bar none and
the car will  stiffen up.  Make the front none and the rear full and the

car will lossen

possibly u will want to experment more later on.  To really find speed
u need to be a master of the garadge.  Other peoples setups don't really

work because everyone has a different driving style

yup I think its just testing the colors

yes

   one last tip for ICR2
to finish first, first you must finish
i.e. be very conserative when learning
