GPL Crashes at monaco's hair pin ?

My GPL game very often crash at the monaco circuit. It happens right before
the sharp hair pin.
Ehen this happen the game just exits to windows 98 with no error message.

I use the patched 1.2.0.1 version. with no 3D drivers (why I use no 3D
drivers is a different story)

This problem sometimes also occure at the Nrburgring.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem ?

My GPL used to do this randomly, too.  After several letters to
Sierra, they decided the video acard was overheating.  I put in a
graphics accelerator card and my problem was solved.

I've got the same problem, but the game, erm..., sim  runs fine....

Seriously, it does sound like a heat problem.
