On www.eidos.com is the second patch for Official F1 Racing available.
Claims to have improved AI.
I didn't test it yet, too busy driving GPL.

hmmm.. I went to their site and found no patch for OF1R at all.

No patch#1, or patch#2.

Do you have a direct link, or ... ?

Patch is there. Just follow the F1 links on the UK site, and you'll see
patch#2.

It isn't in the 'Eidos games patches' section, but only on the f1 site
itself under 'Downloads':

http://www.eidos.co.uk/f1/downloads.html

There you go.

I eventually found it by choosing the British site from the main Eidos.com
web page.  Then under the Formula 1 page there is a link.

is this a "UK only" patch that only works with a uk version of the game, or
will it work with any copy? (are there multiple versions of OF1R?)

It only replaces the two .exe's in the folder, so
just back up the old ones and give it a try. I haven't
had time to test it yet, but that should be a safe way
to find out if it works.

I reinstalled OF1R in the vain hope that something would have improved with
the patch, but no ... it's still the same old ****. So, it came of the hard
disk again!
