Is there an ini file that can be revised so the first lap counts in
training?
2 laps in a row is about all I can stand, I would like the first one to
count...any help appreciated
Thanks

Put this in tracks\nurburg\track.ini in place of [ pit_lane_0 ]

[ pit_lane_0 ]
lane_on_right = 1                               ; 0 if lane on left, 1 if on
right
lane_has_wall = 0                               ; 0 if no pit wall, 1 if pit
wall exists
lane_bounds_dlong = 22740.4 253.1               ; start/end dlong of the pit
lane
lane_bounds_dlat = -11.7 -2.8                   ; start/end dlat of the pit
lane
pit_board = 11.0 1200.0 -100.0 100.0            ; dlat of board, dlong of
board, dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

stall_0 = 18230.00 -4.30
stall_1 = 18219.47 -4.30
stall_2 = 18208.95 -4.30
stall_3 = 18198.42 -4.30
stall_4 = 18187.89 -4.30
stall_5 = 18177.37 -4.30
stall_6 = 18166.84 -4.30
stall_7 = 18156.32 -4.30
stall_8 = 18145.79 -4.30
stall_9 = 18135.26 -4.30
stall_10 = 18124.74 -4.30
stall_11 = 18114.21 -4.30
stall_12 = 18103.68 -4.30
stall_13 = 18093.16 -4.30
stall_14 = 18082.63 -4.30
stall_15 = 18072.11 -4.30
stall_16 = 18061.58 -4.30
stall_17 = 18051.05 -4.30
stall_18 = 18040.53 -4.30
stall_19 = 18030.00 -4.30

This will start you before the second Karussel and gives you time to warm
your tyres a bit before starting a flying lap. Back up your original file of
course.

My apologies to the originator of this patch, I didn't record your name :-(

Get the 'Ringtrainer' by Joachim Blum. Very useful tool, exactly what you need. No dealing
with the track.ini, just choose your desired starting location from a dropdown menu and
the program  modifies the track.ini.

You'll find it at http://www.joachimblum.de/ringtrainer.htm

Have fun

Um...well....
But - they were talking about the BRM...or Monaco...!<g>
I'd rather do 15 laps at the ring in a Lotus, Cooper or Ferrari than 5 laps in
the BRM on any of the original tracks...

The BRM with GH setups at the Ring is not hard to drive ..unlike the Honda
with GH setups !!!

A friend of mine who playing full joystick ( no pedals ), GPLRank -22.xx,
have a 8.22.xx PB at the Ring with the BRM, all you need is concentration
!!! :o)

Eldred! I just happened on to the BRM (F1) and have been enjoying
every minute. I was just messing around at the Ring and Monza in it
and I was able to do a 1:32.77 at Monza in the BRM after a few laps. I
am really starting to like this car. Sure it is slow as Christmas in
the starts, but it tends to hold speed well in the corners. I am not
saying that I am going to run this 'pig' all the time, but I have a
new respect for the noisy brit. Ran a few laps online at Milano last
night at a BRM/Cooper only race and it was really fun, but then again
I ran the Cooper right after and dropped 10 seconds :-O

One of my leagues (IICC) is supposed to run a BRM only Milano race.  I'll
probably skip it - I can't keep the POS from spinning on the bankings... :(

Surely that's nothing 4.5" ride height combined with 130 lbs rear
spring won't cure :-)
