I am just hazarding a wild guess here, but is your monitor properly
identified in the diplay panel? If not, try a closer monitor driver to the
actual one you have.
Do you see the advanced tab and it is greyed out, or is it just not there?
Another thing is if you didn't get the drivers installed properly, the
settings would not be there as it doesn't know your running an nvidia
driver.
Did you completely remove your previous drivers, change to " std vga
adapter", reboot, then install the new drivers, and reboot again?
I had some trouble when I installed the 23.11's, first time didn't take and
I was facing what you are, did it again and it installed properly and all
was well again.

Hi Dave thanks,,here goes. Display shows as IIyama TXA3832HT Profile 38c on
nvidia Riva TNT2 Model64/64...all seems correct.
When I click advanced button on the settings tab, I get standard (or what I
have had in the past with nvidia cards) tabs..I.E. general,
adapter,troubleshoot, TNT2 model 64 etc...but when I go to additional
properties on the TNT2 tab all I get is a large "overlay controls" wit sliders
and zoom boxes all of which are "greyed out" and unchangeable.
As far as the install of he drivers, I have to plead ignorance. On the driver
tab it says Provider nvidia - dr date 9-14-01 - driver ver 2.1.8.3 I'm
running Win XP and have the driver rollback feature as well as uninstall
button. should I have uninstalled the old driver before installing the 21.83's.
It did seem to speed up a small amount after install but could just be
imagination. Thanks much for your time and help,
Dan
