Sure, it's a nice feature, but to say that it was the biggest complaint with
F1 2002's multiplayer was a little off the mark IMO.

Well, one of the first things they need to do is get a dedicated server
option so we could host them on high powered servers.  Also need good RCON
control.

He mentions that the FIA won't allow dedicated servers for an F1 game.

Yah man, I hear that.. but I did say that it was "my biggest complaint". I
don't play over the internet at all, so improving that doesn't do anything
for me. BUT, I guess if it did have good multiplayer then that would be
different. But I stick by what I said :)

Everybody has different wants, that's natural.  I've been screaming
about the poor multiplayer for 3 years now but when I look at the leagues
I'm in and the pickup races...the EA multi has been getting most of my
online time...It's a pity it isn't better and I'm probably a hoser for
putting up with it. :)

>> "well, MP AI were on the list... but they didn't make it into F1C."

>Why?  If the network code is ok, you can just join an online league.  If
>you've got a lonely lan buddy then tell him/her to join the league too...

Well, some people still like racing the AI offline, or they don't have a good
enough online connection.
Besides, how are people supposed to get practice running in traffic if they
just jump into online races?  You think races are crashfests NOW...

If we're gonna run contemporary F1 online, people are really going to have
to get used to the idea that passing another car is a very difficult thing
to do. <g>
