Save race feature's gone?

Save race feature's gone?

Obviously just my opinion - I would have to think it would be considerable
more complicated with all the additional data processed for each car - ie
6dof, and all the different modeling for each car and setup - individual
tire suspension modeling, etc etc.
Certainly I am no programmer, but just seems to me with the difference in
physics between N2/3 it would be considerably more complicated.
My favorite save game feature was the original with N1. It actually dropped
you back on the track for a yellow flag lap for the position you were in,
and then went green again. I never much cared for the save game added to N2,
it would drop you back full speed and if you were running realistic weather,
it would usually change on you.

Some people do nothing wrong.
The problem is, they do nothing.
And THAT is wrong.

I have lots of R.A.S. experience. Does Nos ring any bells? :-)

And if people don't make their opinions known then nothing gets
changed - ever! It's all a part of evolution. This *is* a discussion
group incase you didn't notice. Not your personal stomping grounds.

N1 and NR99 had a save game feature out of the box. So you are down to 2 out
of 5!

I said only 2 " Nascar" sims :)
But certainly you are correct.

N1 had the save where you'd resume under yellow for 1 pace lap(losing any gaps
between cars).  How did N3 do it?  I honestly NEVER saved a game with that...
Did you lose any lead you'd built up before you saved?

N3 would allow you to resume the race in the same place as when you left it.

If you can do a replay, a save-game is not very far off.
Though there are quite a number of variables that need to be saved,
certainly (more than for a replay, which can ignore most, if not all,
of the physics).
