I heard it doesn't, but check your pedal pots to see if they have
three stations or just two; if they have three, it's an easy fix that
does not involve any soldering (just hooking up a wire to the unused
pot).

I rewired my tsw2 pedals just for rbr, and it was well worth the
effort. (all other sims picked up the change fine, be it lfs, f1c,
n2k, gpl and what not)

cheers uwe

I had similar problems at first (and still do if I re-set the controller
settings).  All I can suggest is to keep trying, as it "took" correctly after
several tries.  My problem was that my TSW peds weren't being picked up right.
My Logi wheel was detected correctly, however.

First, delete the defaults for any setting that you won't be using.  In other
words, there should be no values entered for (for example) the separate fields
of "Left" or "Right".  Your wheel should be properly detected in the top choice
on the menu.  IIRC it says "steering" or something like that.  "Left" and
"Right" is used for input from a keyboard or joystick, not a wheel.

If that doesn't address the issue, (ie - if you keep getting duplicate values
of X or Y axis), delete both duplicates and try again until the right value is
detected.   If none of this works, try combined axis instead of split.

Something is definitely wrong with my computer at work (yes, I did bring
in RBR the other day to show to a friend who's a big rally fan).   It's
a P4 3.0Ghz w/ Hyperthreading, 1 gig of RAM, GeForce 5200 Ultra, and it
was struggling with framerates at 640x480.   Dagnabbit.

That's what's wrong. The 5200 series is bargain ba***t, and the added
"Ultra" just means they saw you coming :-)

Actually,

Yes you have the lowend of newer vid cards, but by default, you prolly have
the "prettyness" settings maxed out....

I think you would be suprised, (as I was) selecting when set my "RBR
settings to low...

& this is with performance settings (via windows control panel {display
settings} advanced tabs, inside the Nvidia settings...  turn off Vsysnc, and
the antialiasing...  )

Run the game at higher resolutions, like 1024x768, and you dont really care
about "aliasing" ((Especially at work LOL!!!))

Well, thankfully, they didn't see me coming, they saw my work coming :)

Stunning.  Unlike other rally titles I've tried, this actually gets me
to a "suspension of disbelief".  On my first drive I headed off into
the scenery (of course) and ended up beached.  I caught myself rocking
in my chair in order to get the tyres to bite...

I have never driven a rally car, but this just feels right.

No controller issues - worked right out of the box with my Momo Force
and Act Labs pedals.  Reduced the steering sensitivity a tad as I
found things a bit twitchy at first.  The amount of adjustable
controller parameters is admirable.  Shame some people are having
problems.

So it may not be a mega commercial success on the level of CMR, but
the developers and, I guess, Richard Burns can hold their heads high
in the knowledge that they've produced a quality sim.  A damn shame
that don't pay the bills... :(

If they would sell it in the US Id sure buy a copy.  Still trying to figure
out why they're not.  I know were not the biggest Rally fans in the World
but there is still a bunch of us ready to part with some dough.  Great fun
and by far the best Rally Sim Ive ever tried..

You know if the company publishing the game actually had half a clue
about distribution they might have sold more than a handful of copies.

They only have themselves to blame.

No argument here, they certainly knew what they were doing ;-)

Maybe you'll understand better when you're older cronik, but quantity is
not the only measure of success.

OK,  I know you hate it, so I wont post the replays...  LOL  I was thinking
of making my own GPL llike movie, again using the song "in too deep" for the
soundtrack...

hmmm.  what I wouldnt do if I were without a limited amount of PC/racing
time as it is.
