kind of advice... maybe you should ask your psychiatrist that
question . . .

Eh? I was just quoting the Wireplay newsletter - I don't thinkI put any
of my own opinions in there. FWIW, I quite like GP3 - it's sitting on
my table as I type - especially for the excellent dynamic weather
effects (which really *are* the best around right now), but I'm still
playing GPL far more.

(Raymond Mays on Shelsley Walsh)
why should anyone except the Publisher and the Programmers themselves care
how long it took to develop ? Would GP3 be better in your opinion if they
had worked on it for 4 months instead of 4 years? You didn't pay Geoff
Crammond during those 4 years did you ? And why does a new release have to
be perfect to be tolerable ?
they are, just pump up the volume. haven't heard anything better or more
realistic in a sim (even GPL's original sounds are poor compared to GP3s
Engine sounds). Also quite a bit different than the GP2 sounds, which were
also excellent.
yes, but without the physics to match those pretty graphics
agreed, but you probably know already that it's easy to accidentally repeat
yourself when your're desperately searching for new features in GP3 ;-)
you could not choose the tires in GP2. Its a new feature, and the
differences between the tires are well done.
disagreed .
Well at least 2 player mode works, and using my LAN for a 2 player season
instead of a nullmodem-cable is an improvement for me. It should be called
Dual Player Network mode though, because Multiplayer is really screwed.
4 years or not (who does believe the 4 years story anyway) , it's the best
modern F1 sim by a long way, and it's a lot of fun. Crammonds F1GP Engine
has just as many strenghts as it has weaknesses, so it was worth keeping it.
If you never liked the GP series, fine - but every single one of them is a
damn fine game-
I don't recall how tyres worked with GP2, but in GP1 you could choose
between four hardnesses of tyre, plus wets.

Processor intensive?
I don't see the benefit in this...
Don't have an FF wheel
Again, benefit?
This is 2000...
You already said that...
Should be standard
How tough is it to understand?
Not everyone has the setup skill needed. Again, how tough is it to understand?
Which doesn't work very well...
Ok, still not worth $39.99 to me yet...

You pick *one* line out of my post to jump on??? Yes, GPL represents the 1967
season. GP3 is supposed to represent CURRENT F1. 1998 ain't current...
Who's straw was that...?
